2 Special Birthdays

On this day, 31 years ago, Rex Jerald Reeves II graced our world.
In a couple of these I can definitely see some Trip.
Below, Rex is 10.
At college graduation, May 2001.
Happy Birthday, Rexy! Ruby, Trip, and I love you very much. Sorry that you're just working and you're day couldn't have been more special. We'll celebrate this weekend......
And on this very day, Frances Katherine Day was born. She surprised us by being a tiny peanut at 6 lbs. 9 oz.

Happy Birthday Frances and welcome to the gang! We love you!

Trip gets a cleaning..... and Ruby too

The kids went to the dentist today and, since Trip is now 3, he got his first dental X-rays and cleaning. He was such a big boy and was perfectly cooperative.

Afterwards they wanted to check out the waterfall outside.
Check out our clean pearly whites!

Let's Play Ball!!

With Ruby's 1st t-ball game coming up we took our gear with us to Heber so we could practice with Uncle Cash.
Ruby batted a few times but Trip was the one who really took interest. He hit over and over and was really quite good at batting left and right handed. He seems to have very good eye/hand coordination. Too bad he can't play until next year.

Easter 2010

On Easter Eve the kids chose strawberries, celery, carrots, Easter chocolates, and some Diet Coke to leave as a snack for Big Bunny.
"Wow! The Easter Bunny knew that we wanted new beach towels and Princess and the Frog and The Squeekqual!"
Frog has been named "C.C." and pink bunny is "Lilly."
Easter morning we went to Rex's home church in Heber Springs and the kids enjoyed the egg hunt after the service..... and "no" I didn't get the memo regarding the pink attire until Saturday night.

They hunted eggs again after lunch at Pappaw and Nene's and even found some special eggs personalized for them.

My handsome men in their matching shirts. I love a man who's comfortable in pink!
It was a Happy, Happy Easter!

Pinnacle

Heavy rain Friday night cancelled T-ball and soccer for Saturday but left some lovely weather for hiking. We made the most of our sports-free Saturday and took our first family trip to the top of Pinnacle Mountain. We are so proud of Ruby! She was such a trooper and never once complained or said that she was tired during the 2 hour round trip hike. She shimmied up those rocks like a pro and said "I'll do it again.... just not today."
Trip enjoyed the climb from Daddy's back.

Trip has become such a Daddy's boy! So sweet!

Welcoming Warmth

Hooray that warm weather is finally here! We've even been able to get the water table out a couple of times. We'll be poolside in no time! This was our last playdate with the Days before baby Frances arrives. I can't wait to meet her on Thursday!
