 The most unique part of our trip was getting to stay at Give Kids the World Village. It's a magical, special place for families all over the world that come to Orlando on grants from Make-a-Wish and numerous other organizations.  During check-in they both quickly found fun things to do.  This was our villa.  We spent our final day at Sea World.  The most memorable part of Sea World was our close dolphin encounter. The kids got to pet and feed them.  You can't go to Sea World and not see the Shamu Show!  Driving under that sign was so thrilling- it was official. We were AT Disney World!! It most definitely, especially for us being there on a Make-a-Wish grant, is where dreams come true!......We headed to Magic Kingdom Monday evening after our day at Animal Kingdom.  This picture is one of my favorites from the trip. The first week of May we went to the local United Healthcare office where they made the official announcement to Trip that they were granting his wish to go to Disney World! Not only did they send our family to Disney World but they spoiled Trip and Ruby rotten with lots of gifts to make the occasion even more special. We feel so very blessed and are eternally grateful for United Healthcare

Putting her tooth in it's special box for the tooth fairy. On April 20, 2011 Ruby lost her first tooth. The tooth fairy left a silver dollar, $5, and a new toothbrush along with some residual fairy dust!

Trip was thrilled to now be tall anough to ride the ride at Legoland!  We went to Chicago in April for another visit with Dr. Pachman. The rest of the pics were taken at the Kohl's Children's Museum which we visited for the first time. The kids enjoyed it but I definitely prefer the Chicago Children's Museum at Navy Pier.

I only mention Lucy the Betta since poor Edward didn't last even 48 hours. He seemed a little off right from the start. On a visit to PetSmart in December to get some things for Ms. Sandra's kitties, we somehow left with 2 Betta fish. Trip named his Edward and Ruby named her's Lucy (though he is a boy too). I'm proud to say Lucy is still alive and well!

We enjoyed all the Christmas activities at Navy Pier's Winter Wonderland. Waiting to see the Holiday Fantasea show at the Shedd Aquarium. Playing at one of their favorite Shedd spots, the submarine. On Sunday, September 12th, Rexy got up super early to take a train to the start line of the Chicago Half-Marathon. Later that morning the kids and I took a cab from our hotel to the finish line to meet up with Rex. After Trip's infusion on Tuesday, the boys dropped Ruby and I off at American Girl and we had so much fun browsing all the cool stuff! I can't wait for her to be able to read the books that I read. Ruby with her buddy, Abigail Simpson.This summer the kids took 2 weeks of swim lessons at the Maumelle Community Center. This Thursday, July 22, Trip will have a barium swallow test done at ACH. Lately, he's been coughing and clearing his throat some when drinking liquids, which can be an early sign of dysphagia (swallowing problems). He's been drinking less and sometimes just refuses to drink anything. Dysphagia is a somewhat common problem in JDM patients when the muscles involved with swallowing start to weaken.

The kids went to the dentist today and, since Trip is now 3, he got his first dental X-rays and cleaning. He was such a big boy and was perfectly cooperative. Afterwards they wanted to check out the waterfall outside.Check out our clean pearly whites!

With Ruby's 1st t-ball game coming up we took our gear with us to Heber so we could practice with Uncle Cash. Ruby batted a few times but Trip was the one who really took interest. He hit over and over and was really quite good at batting left and right handed. He seems to have very good eye/hand coordination. Too bad he can't play until next year.

Heavy rain Friday night cancelled T-ball and soccer for Saturday but left some lovely weather for hiking. We made the most of our sports-free Saturday and took our first family trip to the top of Pinnacle Mountain. We are so proud of Ruby! After the birthday party and lunch at Chili's (Trip calls it Tili's) YaYa treated the kids to their first trip to Build-a-Bear.
